St Bees, Cumbria

St Bees features strongly on this site for the simple reason that is where I live. Not surprisingly I therefore tend to take a lot of photos here.

However, to make a photo gallery worthwhile, the subject should ideally be photogenic; it's not enough to live in it. St Bees fortunately is just that - a lovely place to live and a very attractive village. If you would like to know more about St Bees, the start of the Coast to Coast cross-England Walk, have a look at my Village web site.

A lot of the photos are intended to illustrate life in the village, and what it looks like. This is for the benefit of visitors and a surprisingly large number of people who look at the site because they are considering moving here. Some of these photos may therefore have little artistic merit but are included nevertheless for that reason.
